News for the Week of October 18, 2015

Categories: Church,Events

Here are your weekly announcements – happy reading!

A couple of highlights and other news:

  1. Next Sunday, October 25th will include two special events in celebration of our 175th Anniversary as a congregation.  At the 10:00 a.m. worship service we will have a special guest preacher:  Rev. Dr. Andrew Stirling, minister at Timothy Eaton Memorial and then, in the evening, we will host a concert with the Ontario Presbyterian Chorus directed by our own Alastair McCallum.   Former ministers of Central have been invited to join us on this special day and I hope many of you can too.
  1. Our annual turkey dinner is coming up on November 14th and tickets are now available as well as the volunteer sign up sheets.  See the announcements for more information.
  1. And some sad news to share.  Church member Elizabeth Patterson passed away last week and we extend our sincere sympathy to her husband Doug in Swan Lake and their family, including son John and wife Catherine and daughters – all former members of Central before relocating to Toronto a few years ago.  A small private family service was held.
