News for the Week of March 31, 2013

As we continue our journey through Holy Week I repeat our list of services for you:

This evening we will hold a Maundy Thursday Worship Service at 7:30 p.m. which will feature Praise Music and a celebration of the Lord’s Supper.

Tomorrow marks Good Friday which we will mark with a worship service at 10:00 a.m.

And Sunday is Easter Sunday and we have three service opportunities:  a Sunrise Service (held outdoors, weather permitting) at 8:00 a.m., followed by a light breakfast in the church kitchen and our Celebration Services at 9:30 and 11:15 a.m.  All three services will include the Sacrament of Communion.

Here are your weekly announcements, with a few highlights:

This Sunday is Palm Sunday and the Sunday School children will lead a Palm Parade at the beginning of the 9:30 a.m. service.  Parents:  please deliver your children to the Friendship Room before the service so we can get organized.

Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week so be sure to check out the schedule of services.

You are reminded of our Lenten Project this year “Save the Mothers” and your donations of support to this worthwhile organization are most appreciated.  See for more information.

Easter flowers will be delivered to our shut-ins next week and you may support this important outreach with donations to our Flower Fund.  Also if you wish to make your donation as an “in memoriam”, to be placed in the Easter Sunday bulletin, please let me know by Sunday, March 24th please.

Sunday evening, we will host the ecumenical Lenten Series with a worship service at 7:00 p.m.  Come and enjoy worship, fellowship and refreshments with those from other churches in our community.

Our Lenten Project this year is Save the Mothers and donations will be received up to and including Easter Sunday.  For more information on the important work this organization is doing, please click here

Easter flowers will be delivered to shut-ins again this year.  If you wish to support this project in memory of a loved one, you are invited to do so on or before Palm Sunday.  See the announcements for details.
