News for the Week of September 15, 2013

With the return to school and organized routines of September for many our families we do look forward to welcoming you back to Sunday morning worship.  Please note that we will continue to have ONE SERVICE AT 10:00 A.M. until after Thanksgiving and hope all will enjoy gathering as one congregation.

Our Sunday School Co-ordinator, Leanne Crosby, and team have developed an exciting Fall programme for your children.  The theme will be the Fruits of the Spirit and I expect the children will enjoy learning about “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control”.  Children and adults will both be learning the Bible verse (Galatians 5:22-23) during the Children’s Time each Sunday.

Looking forward to seeing many of you on Sunday!

News for the Week of September 8, 2013

September greetings everyone!

With the end of summer, we are returning to weekly church updates to all our families!

This Sunday, September 8th is RALLY DAY, a long standing tradition here at Central where we “rally” together as many return from summer vacation time and we begin our Sunday School season anew.  We certainly hope you can join us and that you will invite your neighbours, family and friends to come too!  Worship will be held (indoors) at 10:00 a.m. and then we will gather for our traditional hot dogs and corn roast (outdoors, weather permitting).  A great opportunity to reconnect with one another!

Be sure to read through the attached announcements which highlight some of our plans for the Fall.  We hope you will be able to participate in some of the programs offered.

And finally, a couple of our senior ladies have passed away this summer and we will hold Memorial Services here at the church as follows:

  • On Sunday, September 22nd at 2 p.m. we will celebrate the life of Evelyne Payne (d. July 10, 2013), formerly of Markham/Unionville and most recently Rouge Valley Retirement Home.
  •  On Saturday, October 19th at 1 p.m. we will celebrate the life of Hazel Balcarras (d. August 13, 2013) formerly of Wyndham Gardens and more recently Union Villa.

I look forward to seeing many of you on Sunday!
