News for the Week of June 29, 2014

Here are your weekly announcements for your reading pleasure.  A couple of items to note:

  1. People do enjoy the Lemonade on the Lawn after service on Sunday mornings and we still need volunteers for 6 more Sundays, including this Sunday!  Any offers to host this great time of fellowship are gratefully received.
  2. To comply with the new CASL (Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation) coming into effect July 1st, we now include an “unsubscribe” mechanism at the end of this weekly email.  If you no longer wish to be on our email list, please respond as directed.
  3. And finally, my office hours are typically reduced for the months of July and August.  I will still be in the church from Monday to Thursday but possibly just for the morning – 9 a.m. to 12 noon.  I will return to regular hours (including Sundays) after Labour Day in September.

Happy Canada Day everyone!

Here are your announcements a day early (I’m out of town tomorrow).  Be sure to read all the latest church news!

And ladies, check your closets.  Someone left a lightweight black quilted short jacket here a few weeks ago.  It is an Alpinetek make, size medium and there is a red and black scarf in the pocket.  We’ve left it in the cloakroom for you.

Here are your weekly church announcements.  A few highlights:

  1. There is still time to join us for Central’s second annual Golf Day being held on Sunday afternoon, June 22nd.  Golfers of all skills are welcome to come out for fun, food and fellowship!  Sign up by Sunday at the church!
  2. Be sure to sign up for the Seniors’ Luncheon (prepared by Mary Cullen and helpers) to be held on Wednesday, June 25th here at the church.  Mark Cullen will present “Gardens Around the World” so it is sure to be a great event!

I hope to see many of you on Sunday.  Please note that the “Prayer Time” has been changed.  So that everyone can enjoy the fellowship of Lemonade on the Lawn after service, the Prayer group will gather in the Friendship Room before worship at 9:40 a.m.
