A few reminders for this week Feb. 1 – Feb. 7, 2021

FROM THE MINISTER’S DESK
Our Guest Minister this Sunday is Rev. Lorraine Diaz. Rev. Diaz is the Minister of Congregational Life & Development at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church in Toronto and has been in congregational ministry positions for almost 20 years. She served UCC congregations in Southern Ontario and Nova Scotia, and in Des Moines, Iowa served a Spanish-speaking Lutheran congregation.

Rev. Diaz completed postgraduate studies at Emmanuel College; her Th.M. thesis focused on theologies of beauty, imagination, and liturgical art. She lives in Toronto with her husband, Chris Diaz. In her free time she enjoys taking beginner ballet classes at the National Ballet of Canada, running several times a week, and reading.
CENTRAL UNITED IN-PERSON WORSHIP SUSPENDED
Under the current York Region lockdown due to Covid-19, Central United Church is continuing it’s livestreaming of Sunday Services, but in-person worship services are on hold until the end of lockdown, which is currently February 10th. However, there is a possibility that this date may be extended so we will keep you posted as to when in-person services will resume.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we endeavor to work together to make our worship both safe and meaningful during this unusual time.
