FROM THE MINISTER’S DESK
I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church at Cenchreae. (Romans 16:1) The final chapter of the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Romans is filled with the names of people active in ministry of the first century church. We sometimes skip over these names because the people are unknown to us. The names, however, tell us something important. God works through people to make his love known to us. And so it is among us. During the worship service this Sunday we will be installing Rev. Dr. Christina Ng in her role as Leader of Christian Education & Strategic Plans Co-ordinator. Please join in the celebration as we commend Christina to this work among us.
SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP 10:00 A.M.
Central United Church welcomes you to join our Worship Service Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. In worship we proclaim our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour; God’s word is read and preached, sacraments celebrated, faith sung and prayers offered.
Sunday services are also livestreamed (and recorded) through the Church website or you can join here. A copy of the bulletin for this Sunday’s Service is attached here.
This Sunday’s Scripture readings are Deuteronomy 18:15-20, 1 Corinthians 8:1-13 and Mark 1:21-28. You can also find a daily scripture message at the top of our website.
