PASTOR RICHARD HRYNIW
This Sunday we welcome Pastor Richard Hryniw, a friend of the Sandiford
family who will be assisting in the Sacrament of Baptism at this Sunday’s
service. Pastor Hryniw was the Minister of the East Nissouri “Union” Church
from 1997 to 2010 and continues in retirement, to be a member of the
Ministerial Team there. Pastor Hryniw was also an on-call Chaplain at
London Health Sciences from 1999 to 2019 and continues to be Chaplain to
the local volunteer fire department.
WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY
On January 24, 2020 at 7:30 pm a prayer service which is an initiative of
the Markham/Unionville Ministerial, will be held at St. Justin Martyr Roman
Catholic Church located at 3898 Hwy. #7 East in Unionville, marking the
2020 week of prayer for Christian Unity. Rev. Dr. James Clubine is the
guest preacher for this service.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday, January 26th. We will
have a congregational soup lunch in the Main Hall after our morning worship
service and then the business meeting will follow. Please attend to enjoy
some food and fellowship with your church family and to help us celebrate
our accomplishments of the past year and plan ahead for 2020! A sign up
sheet is located on the bulletin board if you are able to help out by
making a crockpot of soup!!
DOREEN WILLIAMS
1930 – 2019
Doreen Williams, passed away peacefully on December 21st, 2019 at Markham
Stouffville Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer.
A Memorial service will be held at Central United Church on Saturday,
January 18th at 2:00 pm, with a reception to follow.
Donations may be made to the Markham Stouffville Hospital in lieu of
flowers.
