FROM THE MINISTER’S DESK
In the aftermath of events that cause harm—intentional or unintentional—things cannot be put back together as they were prior to such events. Psalm 85 is a prayer asking God for restoration. Here is the promise of God’s salvation: “Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet; righteousness and peace will kiss each other.” Notice the future tense of ‘will meet.’ The wonderful terms of the promise for ‘steadfast love and faithfulness to meet’ are picked up by the prologue to the Gospel of John, translated ‘grace and truth through Jesus Christ.’ They are fulfilled in Jesus, through his incarnation and by his cross and resurrection. In Jesus Christ steadfast love and faithfulness meet, righteousness and peace kiss. In Him a day is coming when all will be set to rights. Psalm 85 guides us in praying for restoration.

The church parking lot is currently in the process of being re-paved. You will however be able to park in the lot for this Sunday’s service as re-surfacing will not be taking place until next week.
