A few reminders for this week Mar. 1 – Mar. 7, 2021

FROM THE MINISTER’S DESK
“The heavens are telling the glory of God,” exudes the Psalmist. Indeed the wonders of creation speak of the Creator’s glory. Last October (4th) a story appeared in the National Post about a bird that flies 12,000 km non-stop: “A male bar-tailed godwit has set a new world record for avian non-stop flight over 11 days from Alaska to Auckland at speeds of up to 55 km/hr. Researchers had fitted the bird with a satellite tag in late 2019. It and four others bulked up on clams and worms for two months in Alaska. The satellite recorded a point-to-point flight of 12,854 km.” And as spring is approaching, I suppose that this bird may soon be on his way back to Alaska. For the believer, such wonders call forth awe and praise for God whose glory is on display. As winter recedes and once again gives way to spring may the wonders that surround us lift your hearts in praise of God’s glory.
