Do you have some treasured invitations? There is a tradition in academic institutions like Oxford and Cambridge in England called High Table. It is a table on a raised platform at the end of a dining hall where the college fellows and professors eat along with there guests. I remember fondly my invitation to high table while at Oxford’s summer school of theology. When I first saw the invitation in the welcome information, not knowing what it was, I set it aside as a maybe. I am so glad I was informed of its significance and accepted the invitation. The Bible ends with the most beautiful invitation; “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let everyone who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let everyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who wishes take the water of life as a gift.” Friends, this is an invitation to the high table of all high tables. It is the invitation none of us would want to miss.
SUNDAY WORSHIP
Central United Church welcomes you to our Worship Service Sunday morning at 10:00 am and we would love to have you join us. We rejoice that we can worship together and give thanks, offering prayer and lifting our voices in song.

LEMONADE ON THE LAWN
Summer is coming and we would like to reintroduce Lemonade on the Lawn for the Sundays June through to the end of August this year.
However, the only way this can happen is if you, our congregation supports this by signing up for the weeks you are able to assist with set up, pouring and clean up each week. This is a very easy task as all supplies will be available at the church. Sign up sheets are located on the bulletin board outside the Friendship room in the Narthex. Our outdoor fellowship after our service can ONLY happen if we have our full three months covered by volunteers. Please consider this, so that we can all enjoy the physical reconnection with old and new friends in our church.
