Job Descriptions
Reach out and recruit youth volunteers within the community to develop them as leaders-in-training for serving children in the summer day camp.
Duties include relationship building, recruiting, training, coaching, and empowering.
Successful candidates must be mature, responsible, able to relate well with youth, and be accountable to parents and church leaders. Fostering a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for youth to explore their talents and gifts is crucial. All summer staff are expected to work together and support each other in a team-building environment.
Eligible Applicants
- Age requirement: 15 to 30 at the start of employment; ideally, college/university student with a desire to develop youth
- Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or possess refugee status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act during employment
- Valid Social Insurance Number and legal eligibility to work in Canada
- Alignment with CUC’s Vision and Mission, collaborative teamwork, and commitment to high productivity and quality work
- Passion for teaching children and youth, with a focus on creating a fun and safe environment;
- Proficiency in planning and executing structured programs, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Vulnerable sector check is mandatory for all qualified candidates.
