Rev. Dr. James and Valerie Clubine invite you to join them on a 14 day guided tour of Israel and Jordan September 21 to October 4, 2014. This Holy Land Experience gives you the opportunity to “walk where Jesus walked”. For Christians, travelling to the Holy Land is a faith-building experience; our goal is for fellow travellers to feel like this is their own personal pilgrimage. For those joining this pilgrimage, Jim will offer the opportunity to get together prior to departure to study the biblical significance of the sites and provides material for connecting Biblical stories with the itinerary. Arriving at the sites without this type of preparation is rather like trying to get a drink of water from a fire hose—there is just so much to take in!
Some highlights of the trip include:
- Stand on the Mt. Nebo where God showed Moses the Promised Land
Re-affirmation of our baptism vows at the River Jordan where John baptised Jesus
A visit to Jerash in Jordan, one of the best preserved ancient cities to be found in the Mediterranean region
Time to explore the UNESCO site Petra, one of the wonders of the ancient world
Accommodation at a spa/hotel on the shores of the Dead Sea with time to relax and enjoy the healing waters
Visit the Mount of Temptation Monastery perched on the cliffs of Jericho
Explore the ruins of Herod’s palace at the top of Masada on the shores of the Dead Sea
Communion service on the Sea of Galilee and in the peaceful Garden Tomb
- Walk through the beautiful old city of Jerusalem on the Via Delarosa

This will be Jim’s fourth trip and Valerie’s third trip to the area and we have taken all we have learned from those adventures to put together what we consider to be the best trip yet! It has been our experience that a trip such as this creates a wonderful camaraderie amongst the participants and we look forward to all that a trip to the Holy Land has to offer.
