News for the Week of December 14, 2014

Here are your weekly announcements for your reading pleasure.  This Sunday is our annual Christmas Musical(at the regular service time of 10:00 a.m.) so be sure to attend.  Sarah Wyse and the choir have been rehearsing very hard and I expect it will be a real Christmas treat!  The children are welcome to remain in church to hear the music or attend Sunday School (which will begin at 10 a.m.).  There will be no Children’s storytime in the service.

Now I have a favour to ask:  we are looking for someone to serve as the “greeter” on Christmas Eve at the10:30 p.m. service.  If you planning to attend that service, would you kindly let me know if you would be available to stand at the door, greet people and give them a bulletin?  Thanks in advance.

And finally, some sad news to share.  Longtime church member Jean Cuthbertson suffered the death of her sister, Shirley Ingleton this past week.  Our sympathies to Jean and her family.  The obituary and funeral details can be found at http://glenoaks.sharingmemories.ca/site/ShirleyAnneIngleton.html?s=40

AND the folks scheduled to serve this Sunday are:

Greeters: Susan Innes & family
Worship Host: Agnes Willerding
Worship Visuals: Fiona Scarrow
Lay Worship Leader: Cheryl Neave
Gospel Reader: Doug Stirling

(If you find you are not able to fulfil your duties, please arrange with another church member to fill your spot.)
