Here are your weekly announcements. Be sure to have a look and be informed of Central’s many activities and announcements.
Our turkey dinner is less than 2 weeks away so please get your tickets on Sunday from Don Thomson so we can properly plan for the event. (We also have tickets available in the office.) We are also still looking for people to provide desserts and to volunteer. Areas that are in particular need of help are: turnip preparation, turkey roasters, buffet servers, wait staff, dishwashers and clean up. Please save us a phone call and sign up on Sunday or send me an email! This is a great opportunity to work alongside your church family and raise funds for the church while serving a delicious dinner to the community. We thank you in advance for your help.
Although we are about half way there, our Invest in your Faith campaign continues. Please participate by picking up a special envelope from the greeters’ table in the narthex.
Please plan to stay for lunch to be served downstairs on Sunday for our Volunteer Appreciation Day! All are welcome. And while you are there, be sure to buy your pies from our UCW ladies.
And I have more sad news to share this week. Ruth Bullock, mother to church member Lynn Randall, has passed away. Visitation will be held on Sunday at WAGG FUNERAL HOME, “McDermott-Panabaker Chapel” 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 4156 Shepard Avenue East, Scarborough, Ontario M1S 1T3 on Tuesday, November 1st at 11:00am.
And here is a reminder for those on duty for Sunday. We thank all of you for your service to your church:
