Special Congregational Meeting of

Central United Church

I am very excited and pleased to announce that the Pastoral Search Committee will be bringing forward their recommendation of a candidate for the position of Minister of Worship, Pastoral Care and Spiritual Development for Central United Church on June 23rd.

I want to thank the Pastoral Search Committee for their perseverance, commitment and dedication in recommending the new Minister who will lead us forward.  The Search team consists of Doug Stirling (Chair), Lynn Randall (Secretary), Carole Beam, Ruth Duffield, Bryan Fong, Ross Jull, Dennis Seeley, Ron Wyse, and Rev. Sadekie Lyttle-Forbes (the Regional Representative).

On Sunday, June 23rd the Special Congregational Meeting will be held starting at 12 noon following the worship service and a light lunch will be provided.

During the Congregational Meeting, members of the Pastoral Search Committee will present the work of the Committee, the background, qualifications and compensation package for the proposed candidate and table the recommendation to approve the candidate to fill the position of Minister of Worship, Pastoral Care and Spiritual Development. Following the presentation, there will be a Q&A session followed by a vote.

Members of Central United Church are eligible to vote and voting privileges will be extended to adherents of Central by a motion to permit adherents to vote on this important matter. Attendance in person is strongly encouraged as this is a pivotal decision for our church. Participation via online will be made available through Zoom.

Thank you all in advance for your participation in this important matter involving the future of your Church.

On behalf of your Church Council,
