FROM THE MINISTER’S DESK
Our Guest Minister this Sunday is the Rev. Dr. Andrew Stirling. Reverend Stirling is the Ambassador for the Canadian Bible Society. Prior to that appointment in 2022, he served as the Senior Minister of the historic Timothy Eaton Memorial United Church in Toronto from 1998 to 2021. Andrew holds a Doctor of Ministry in preaching from Acadia Divinity College. In 2008 Wycliffe College (Toronto), recognized his contribution to preaching with an honorary Doctor of Divinity. In 2016 Dr. Stirling was appointed a Lifetime Fellow of Acadia Divinity College and in 2019, in recognition of his contributions to preaching, Emmanuel College, (Toronto) created a scholarship in Homiletics in his name.
He has written two books and has published over 55 theological and devotional articles. He has taught Church History at the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto, Systematic Theology at Tyndale University Seminary (Toronto) and Homiletics at Acadia Divinity College and Emmanuel College at the Toronto School of Theology. Central United Church welcomes you to join our Worship Service Sunday mornings at 10:00 am. In worship we proclaim our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour; God’s word is read and preached, sacraments celebrated, faith sung and prayers offered.

ONLINE DISCIPLESHIP COURSE: “BASIC”
July 9 – August 20, 2025
If your heart is stirred to continue growing as a disciple of Christ, we warmly invite you to join our short summer discipleship course, BASIC—held online!
Each 1-hr session will begin with a 15-minute video teaching by Francis Chan, followed by Scripture reading and group discussion focused on how we can live out God’s Word together—to be the Church!

GIVE-AHEAD JUNE REQUEST!
As summer approaches, we normally see a drop in church attendance as people head off on summer activities and vacations. As a result, historically there is also a summer decline in givings, while our regular expenses supporting all of our operations and programs continue.
We encourage you to advance your summer givings before the end of June. This will help us better match our inflows with outflows until its “back to school” and “back to church” in the fall.

SUMMER CAMP 2025: Steadfast Love
August 11 – 15, 2025
Central will be hosting another year of Summer Day Camp in August! This is an incredible way to serve young families with children currently in SK through Grade 5. It also allows preteens and teens from Grade 6 and up to grow their faith, develop new skills, and gain valuable experience as volunteers (leaders-in-training) as they go through a one-week training prior to the camp from August 5-8. Please help spread the word in the community!
