
Stephen Boda
ADip, BMus, MM
Stephen Boda is a distinguished pianist, organist, and composer based in Hamilton, Ontario. He holds a Master of Music from Yale University, a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto, and an Artist Diploma from McGill University. Stephen studied piano privately with Valerie Tryon and continues to perform as a soloist across North America. He has collaborated extensively with choirs and ensembles throughout the Greater Toronto Area and has performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. His passion for teaching piano, organ, and music theory extends to students of all ages.
Stephen is the recipient of numerous accolades, including first prizes in the 2015 Royal Canadian College of Organists’ National Competition, the 2016 Howard Fairclough Competition, and the 2014 Osborne Competition. His academic and musical achievements have also earned him several prestigious scholarships: the Godfrey Hewitt Memorial Scholarship, the Robert Baker Scholarship (Yale University), the Schulich Scholarship (McGill University), and the Arthur Redsell Scholarship (University of Toronto).
Currently, Stephen serves as the Principal Organist at Timothy Eaton Memorial Church. He has previously held positions at Grace Church on-the-Hill and St. Paul’s Bloor Street in Toronto, St. John the Evangelist in Hamilton, and Noroton Presbyterian Church in Darien, Connecticut.
Program will include organ favourites, movie themes, and the debut of a new composition by Stephen.
After the concert, guests are warmly invited to enjoy a complimentary wine and cheese reception, along with a special meet & greet with Stephen—an inspiring opportunity to connect with the artist behind the music.
